Vineyards cover large areas of the Peljesac Peninsula, starting in Ston and stretching all the way northwest to the outskirts of Orebic, making Peljesac an ideal place to tour the wineries and learn about local wine cultivation.
Peljesac wines are considered to be some of the best in Croatia because of the specific growing conditions on the peninsula: generally poor soil with generous amount of sunshine, which provides exquisite flavours and tones.
This full-day enogastronomic excursion takes you through the entire peninsula, stopping at the finest wineries in the area, Milos Winery, Korta Katarina Winery and Saint Hills Winery, at which you will enjoy a spectacular wine pairing lunch.
At each winery you will have an introduction and tour of the wine cellars while tasting some of their most popular wine types like Dingac, Postup and Plavac Mali. Recent DNA tests have revealed that California's famed Zinfandel grape is the same (or closely related to) Plavac Mali.
|Tour from Korcula||From $690.00 per group|
