In the Adriatic sea, northwest of Dubrovnik, there is a small archipelago of several islands called the Elaphiti Islands. With total land area of around 30 square kilometers and a population of 850 inhabitants, they have managed to preserve an untouched natural beauty and charm. Despite the daily influx of tourists from Dubrovnik, the Elaphites remain relatively uncrowded since private vehicles are not allowed on any of the islands except for Sipan, the largest of the the three inhabited islands that you will visit on this tour. On Sipan you will have a free time to explore the island on your own; we suggest a visit to the ruins of the medieval churches and 15th-century manor houses.
Another inhabited island is Kolocep, planted with forests of pine trees and gardens of lemons and oranges. You'll have enough free time to relax on the beach or explore the beachfront area. We also recommend visiting the 15th-century Chapel of St. Anton, especially for its collection of landscape paintings from various ages.
Lopud island, second in size and famous for its sandy beaches, is well developed in terms of tourism infrastructure. We recommend some beach time with refreshments in one of the local bars.
After a thrilling boat ride s through the inlets, caves and harbors of the Elaphiti Islands and soaking up some sun, you will return to your hotel in Dubrovnik, tanned and relaxed.
